Volleyball Recap: Phil Campbell Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Phil Campbell, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They put the hurt on the Sheffield Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Bobcats not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 17, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-13, 25-17.

Ragan Moss was the offensive standout of the contest as she had seven digs and two aces. Those two aces gave her a new career-high. Amberlee Mays also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Phil Campbell was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 27 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Phil Campbell's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Sheffield, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Phil Campbell will square off against Lexington at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sheffield, they will take on Shoals Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
