Basketball Recap: Tuscaloosa Christian Comes Up Short at Home Against Brooklane Baptist

Tuscaloosa Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 61-53 to the Brooklane Baptist Eagles on Monday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Tuscaloosa Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaeson Dogan, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 18 rebounds, and Alex Anglin, who posted 28 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Dogan is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games he's played dating back to last season. Josiah Wiggins was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Brooklane Baptist has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
