Baseball Game Preview: Chelsea Red Devils vs. Everett Crimson Tide

Chelsea is 0-10 against Everett since June of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Red Devils will venture away from home to face off against the Crimson Tide at 4:00 p.m.

Monday just wasn't the day for Chelsea's offense. They came up short against Revere on Monday, falling 20-0.

Meanwhile, Everett hadn't done well against Lynn English recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Crimson Tide sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Bulldogs. The victory was some much needed relief for the Crimson Tide as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Derek Soper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, MJ Guida was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Luke Wood, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Chelsea's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Everett, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5.

Chelsea suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Everett when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
