Baseball Preview: Chelsea Red Devils vs. Everett Crimson Tide
Chelsea is 0-10 against Everett since June of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Red Devils will venture away from home to face off against the Crimson Tide at 4:00 p.m.
Monday just wasn't the day for Chelsea's offense. They came up short against Revere on Monday, falling 20-0.
Meanwhile, Everett hadn't done well against Lynn English recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Crimson Tide sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Bulldogs. The victory was some much needed relief for the Crimson Tide as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Derek Soper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, MJ Guida was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Luke Wood, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
