Basketball Recap: Choctaw County Takes a Loss

Choctaw County was the 50-29 winner over Philadelphia when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Choctaw County Chargers took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Philadelphia Tornadoes. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Choctaw County's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Philadelphia, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9.

Choctaw County and Starkville Academy will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on December 27th. Starkville Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Choctaw County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Philadelphia, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Union at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th.
