Basketball Recap: Cairo Syrupmakers vs. Monroe Golden Tornadoes
Cairo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt an 86-29 loss at the hands of the Monroe Golden Tornadoes. The Syrupmakers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-15.
Monroe was led to victory by Kie'Aundria Acree and Taylor Mckinzy. Acree dropped a double-double on 44 points and 15 rebounds, while Mckinzy dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 boards.
