Basketball Game Preview: Fairborn Skyhawks vs. Greenville Green Wave

Fairborn and Greenville are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. The Fairborn Skyhawks will square off against the Greenville Green Wave at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Fairborn ended up a good deal behind Tippecanoe and lost 58-39. While losing is never fun, the Skyhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 691st, while the Red Devils are ranked 168th).

Meanwhile, Greenville lost to West Carrollton on the road by a 68-51 margin on Tuesday. The Green Wave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fairborn's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Greenville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-16.

Fairborn was able to grind out a solid victory over Greenville when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 50-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fairborn since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
