Volleyball Recap: Tri-Township Tigers vs. Hebron Hawks
Tri-Township extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 0-7 in the process. They lost 3-0 to the Hebron Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
As for Hebron, their win bumped their record up to 4-7. That three set margin sets a new team best for them this season.
Hebron found their leader in sophomore Antonio Pena, who had eight aces, five digs, and one block. With that strong performance, Pena is now averaging an impressive 2.3 aces per game.
Coming up, Tri-Township will head out on the road to face off against Boone Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hebron, they will host Kankakee Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
