Softball Recap: Ashley Ridge Gets the Win

While Ashley Ridge's win against Hanahan wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Swamp Foxes skirted past the Hawks 5-3.

Allison Pokrant was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Autumn Atienza, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Mariah Rivera, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Ashley Ridge's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-1-1.
