Basketball Game Preview: Indian Land Warriors vs. Queen's Grant Stallions

Having just played yesterday, the Indian Land Warriors will jump right back in to play the Queen's Grant Stallions at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Indian Land is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: Fort Mill, who was ranked tenth at the time (Indian Land was ranked sixth). Indian Land was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 53-52 to Fort Mill. That makes it the first time this season the Warriors have let down their home crowd.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Queen's Grant). They simply couldn't be stopped last Tuesday as they easily beat Sugar Creek Charter 90-54. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Queen's Grant's win came from a few key players Indian Land will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bobby Montgomery III, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 20 points. Another player making a difference was Chase Smith, who went 9 for 11 en route to 20 points and eight boards.

Queen's Grant was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sugar Creek Charter only racked up nine assists.

Queen's Grant has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.1 points per game. As for Indian Land, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-2.
