Volleyball Recap: Washington's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Washington didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-22-5), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Pacific Indians 3-0 on Monday. The Bluejays were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Indians, so the Bluejays were just returning the favor.

While Washington won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 25-23.

Washington can attribute much of their success to Alyson Paule, who had 12 digs and nine assists. Those 12 digs gave Paule a new career-high. Brooke Stellhorn also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

The win was the third in a row for Washington, bringing their record up to 6-2. As for Pacific, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1-1.

Washington has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Union on the 9th. As for Pacific, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Lindbergh on the 11th.
