Basketball Recap: Captain Shreve Comes Up Short

Captain Shreve has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 56-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Red River Bulldogs. The Gators were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 63-52.

Captain Shreve's defeat dropped their record down to 30-11. As for Red River, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Captain Shreve will challenge Natchitoches Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Red River, they will square off against Many at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
