Recap: Beaufort Academy Eagles vs. John Paul II Golden Warrriors
If the Beaufort Academy Eagles were feeling good off their 81-30 takedown of the Colleton Prep Academy War Hawks last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Beaufort Academy took a 52-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Warrriors. Beaufort Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Warrriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
John Paul II was led to victory by Christian Tilton and Sean Phalen. Tilton scored 13 points, while Phalen scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholai Atkinson, who scored eight points.
Beaufort Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for John Paul II, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-8.
Beaufort Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for John Paul II, they will head out on the road to challenge the Dolphins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hilton Head Prep is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
