Basketball Recap: Sawyer Briscoe Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Calvary Christian

Community Christian won the last time they faced Calvary Christian and things went their way on Saturday too. The Eagles walked away with a 56-43 win over the EAGLES.

Community Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sawyer Briscoe, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 boards. Those 12 rebounds gave Briscoe a new career-high. Zack Redd was another key player, shooting 47% from the field on his way to 16 points and six boards.

Community Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Community Christian's record is now 4-1. As for Calvary Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Community Christian and Calvary Christian will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Eagles see the court they'll take on Union at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Calvary Christian, their break will end when they face Life Academy at 8:00 p.m. on December 5.
