The Woodland Beavers will square off against the R.A. Long Lumberjacks at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.7 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Woodland came up short against Ridgefield and fell 6-1. The Beavers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Woodland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Manalili, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for R.A. Long, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against Hudson's Bay on Thursday by a score of 12-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lumberjacks considering their two-run performance the match before.

R.A. Long's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-10-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Woodland, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Woodland took their victory against R.A. Long in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 14-0 score. Do the Beavers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lumberjacks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
