Pj Faul Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Friday, Haskell got the W thanks in part to Pj Faul playing the best football he has all season. Faul rushed for 194 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 175 yards and four touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards.

Haskell's win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. Faul and Haskell will face off against Hulbert at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Underclassman Jaseir Posey came into Thursday's game looking to prove himself and that's exactly what he did. He showed up in a big way on Thursday, throwing for 244 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.2 passing touchdowns per game.

This season, Posey has thrown 19 touchdowns while averaging 339.7 passing yards per game.

Botts Came Up Big in Hulbert's 60-16 Defeat

Hulbert had to settle for second on Thursday, but Cody Botts sure wasn't going down easily. Nobody could stop Botts as he rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 66 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Hulbert's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. Botts and Hulbert will host Haskell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
