Lafayette Central Catholic is a perfect 3-0 against Tipton since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Knights will head out to face off against the Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m.

Lafayette Central Catholic made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Guerin Catholic, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Knights fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. The contest marked the Knights' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Tipton posted their closest victory since April 22nd on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Tri-Central, sneaking past 10-9. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Ty Middleton looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nathan Hawkins, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 11 matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Borders, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs.

Tipton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Tipton's record now sits at 5-14. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5.

Everything went Lafayette Central Catholic's way against Tipton in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Lafayette Central Catholic made off with a 23-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
