Basketball Recap: Chancellor Piles Up the Points Against Spotsylvania

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Massaponax, Chancellor was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Spotsylvania Knights 83-42. The game marked the Chargers' most dominant victory of the season.

Chancellor's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xavier Heggie, who went 7 of 11 en route to 15 points along with seven boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Larell Edwards, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds.

Chancellor has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season. As for Spotsylvania, their loss was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chancellor will challenge Eastern View at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern View will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Chancellor surely won't give up without a fight. Spotsylvania has already played their next contest (against Culpeper County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
