Softball Game Preview: Central Christian Comets vs. Lucas Cubs

For the second straight game, Central Christian will face off against Lucas. The Comets will challenge the Cubs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Christian is looking for their season's first win.

Central Christian's last matchup with Lucas could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Comets came up short against the Cubs, falling 26-7. On the bright side, the seven- run effort marked the Comets' highest-scoring game to date.

For Lucas' part, Arianna Ohm looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Destiny Foss, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Emma Brown, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.

Lucas always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Central Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Lucas, they moved to 3-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
