Softball Recap: Newark Comes Up Short

Newark lost against Midlakes back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Reds fell just short of the Screaming Eagles by a score of 9-8. The Reds just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Newark's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Midlakes, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-6 record.

While Newark had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
