Baseball Recap: Lewis-Palmer Triumphs

With a playoff win on the line, Lewis-Palmer rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Rifle Bears. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rangers.

The result came thanks to Drew Boyarko's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hunter Morgan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Lendt, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Lewis-Palmer hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rifle struck out 14 times.

Lewis-Palmer's win bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Rifle, they dropped their record down to 12-12 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Lewis-Palmer has already played their next game (against Durango), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rifle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
