Volleyball Recap: Bonneville Lakers vs. Clearfield Falcons
After flying high against Northridge on Tuesday, Bonneville came back down to earth. The Lakers lost 3-0 to the Clearfield Falcons on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in April.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Clearfield scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 25-20.
Semisi Christensen paced Bonneville's offense, picking up 21 kills. Christensen got some help from Jase Musgrave and his 25 assists. Christensen was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.
Bonneville has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Clearfield, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-12.
Coming up, Bonneville will venture away from home to challenge Spanish Fork at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Clearfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Layton on the 2nd.
