There's no place like home for King City, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past the Stevenson Pirates 13-7 on Tuesday. Considering the Mustangs have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Alizah Carrillo made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Avery Munoz was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March. Jocelyn Romero was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI and one double.
King City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stevenson only posted an OBP of .333.
