Archbishop Stepinac waltzed into their match on Saturday with 14 straight wins... but they left with 15. They walked away with a 58-49 win over the Iona Prep Gaels. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 64-60 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Archbishop Stepinac to victory, but perhaps none more so than Danny Carbuccia, who went 7 for 10 to rack up 18 points and six assists. Carbuccia continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Hassan Koureissi, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points in addition to six assists and six boards.

Archbishop Stepinac smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Archbishop Stepinac pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Iona Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9-1.

Coming up, Archbishop Stepinac will challenge St. Francis Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Iona Prep, they will take on St. Raymond Boys at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Raymond Boys is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.5 points per game this season.
