Basketball Recap: Palo Verde Valley Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Palo Verde Valley won the last time they faced Xavier Prep, and Zaraivion Crowe did his part to make sure it happened again. The Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets ended the year with a bang, routing the Xavier Prep Saints 60-37 on Friday thanks in part to Crowe, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 11 boards. His afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Matthew Conte was another key player, putting up two points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (four).

Palo Verde Valley moved to 4-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Xavier Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
