Basketball Recap: Southern Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Southern Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 68-31 loss at the hands of the Springwood Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 427th, while the Wildcats are ranked 185th).

Southern Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Springwood, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Southern Prep Academy will face off against Macon-East Montgomery Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Springwood has already played their next game, a 65-47 loss against Valiant Cross Academy on the 18th.
