Basketball Recap: Elko Takes a Loss

Elko lost against Churchill County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Elko Indians opened the new year with a less-than-successful 41-34 loss to the Churchill County Greenwave. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elko now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Churchill County, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Elko won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lowry at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Lowry's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Churchill County, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Spring Creek at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
