Soccer Game Preview: Rock Canyon vs. Grandview

The Rock Canyon Jaguars will take on the Grandview Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Canyon is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

Rock Canyon's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over Horizon. Rock Canyon might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Grandview had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Neither they nor Regis Jesuit could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result was nothing new for Grandview as the team haven't won a game since April 17th.

Their goal came courtesy of Paige Jasinowski, who's now up to five this season.

Rock Canyon pushed their record up to 11-2-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five matchups. Grandview's draw gives them a new season record of 5-7-3.

Everything went Rock Canyon's way against Grandview in their previous meeting back in April, as Rock Canyon made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Jaguars repeat their success, or do Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
