A well-balanced attack led New Palestine over Batesville in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Dragons blew the Bulldogs out of the water with a 68-33 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-17.

New Palestine's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabbie Brown, who went 6-for-9 en route to 16 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadey Hughbanks, who shot 50% from the field on her way to 15 points.

When it comes to explaining why Batesville lost, don't look at Maggie Jelinek. Despite the final result, she posted eight points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Molly Gesell, who earned seven points and five boards.

New Palestine has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

New Palestine didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-11 win against Greenwood on the 12th. As for Batesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 50-15 victory against South Dearborn on the 13th.
