Volleyball Game Preview: Scottsburg Warriors vs. Madison Cubs

Scottsburg hasn't had much luck against Madison recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Cubs at 6:30 p.m.

Scottsburg came up short against New Albany on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Scottsburg was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made New Albany work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-21, 28-26.

Meanwhile, Madison beat Columbus North 3-1 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cubs.

Madison was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 23-25, 25-20, 25-18.

Scottsburg's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Madison, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-11.

Scottsburg couldn't quite get it done against Madison when the teams last played back in April as they fell 2-0. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
