Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dickinson). Everything went their way against the ASPIRA Charter Wolves on Thursday as they made off with an 18-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won four in a row.

Alex Perez Luyando made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Dickinson is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-8 otherwise. Perez Luyando was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Asante Jones was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Dickinson: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Joseph Quigley, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Dickinson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Dickinson's record now sits at 6-9. As for ASPIRA Charter, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Coming up, Dickinson will be playing in front of their home fans against McKean at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for ASPIRA Charter, they will head out on the road to challenge Seaford at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
