Baseball Recap: Hudson Hawks vs. Marlborough Panthers

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Hudson and Marlborough meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Hawks had just enough and edged out the Panthers 4-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Anthony Moura spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Jackson Wood and Garrett Giorgio did most of the damage at the plate: Wood got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Giorgio went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave Wood a new career-high. Toby Edie was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
