Samuel Meisner Tops All Others This Week

Starting off the list is Wray's Samuel Meisner, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Meisner made seven total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended a pass. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making seven total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending a pass.

The victory for Wray keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Meisner and Wray will welcome Burlington at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Casey Midcap Delivers Electric Effort Vs Holyoke

Keeping Meisner company is Casey Midcap, a fellow Wray player. He rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 106 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Unfortunately for Holyoke, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Midcap. Back in November of 2023 (the last time Midcap saw the Dragons), he rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 62 yards and two touchdowns.

Thomson Came Up Big in Yuma's 20-12 Defeat

Jonathan Thomson's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his fourth-straight game with 114+ rushing yards. He rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making 12 total tackles.

The loss snapped Yuma's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record. Thomson and Yuma will challenge Wiggins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Weston Schaal Turns in Season-Best Performance

Weston Schaal produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Burlington to the win on Friday. Schaal rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 53 yards and a touchdown on only five passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

On the season, Schaal has thrown 4 touchdowns while averaging 64.8 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging one rushing yard per game. This year he is averaging 20.8 rushing yards.

Jacob Jaklich and Co. Win 18th in a Row

Limon picked up their 18th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jacob Jaklich. Jaklich was unstoppable, rushing for 77 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.

Limon pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Their homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Holyoke at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
