Soccer Game Preview: Yosemite vs. Minarets

The Yosemite Badgers will take on the Minarets Mustangs in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Yosemite is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals back in November, they were much more limited against Clovis last Tuesday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 11-1. The Badgers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 8-0.

Meanwhile, Minarets lost 7-1 to Immanuel on Friday. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Minarets' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Yosemite, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2-1.

Everything went Yosemite's way against Minarets when the teams last played back in January, as Yosemite made off with a 5-0 win. Will Yosemite repeat their success, or does Minarets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
