Football Game Preview: Hamilton County Trojans vs. P.K. Yonge Blue Wave + How To Watch

The Hamilton County Trojans will head out on the road to take on the P.K. Yonge Blue Wave at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. P.K. Yonge took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Hamilton County, who comes in off a win.

Hamilton County's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Jefferson County 32-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their six-point performance the matchup before.

A big part of Hamilton County's victory came down to the chemistry between Haigen Johnson and his top target Jakori Johnson. Haigen threw for 238 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes while Jakori picked up 192 receiving yards and three TDs. Jakori really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 74 yards.

Hamilton County's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB five times. Jefferson County's QB won't forget Gerald Johnson anytime soon given he sacked him 2.5 times. Johnson also made five total tackles, which is notable because Hamilton County is 2-1 when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise. The Trojans received some extra help from Jaden Zanders, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, P.K. Yonge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 44-0 loss at the hands of Oak Hall. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Blue Wave haven't been shut out since back in August.

The win got Hamilton County back to even at 3-3. As for P.K. Yonge, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
