The Bald Eagle Area Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Central Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Bald Eagle Area, who comes in off a win.

Bald Eagle Area's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They really took it to Westmont Hilltop for the full four quarters, racking up a 28-0 win. The matchup marked the Eagles' most dominant victory of the season.

Luke Hosband was nothing short of spectacular: he picked up 102 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Nick McCulley handled things on the ground, rushing for 84 yards.

Meanwhile, Central came up short against Central Cambria on Friday and fell 32-22.

Bald Eagle Area will need to focus on slowing down Carter Schenk, one of several Central players who made an impact when they last played. He picked up 53 receiving yards and one TD, and also punched in one score on the ground.

The win got Bald Eagle Area back to even at 4-4. As for Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Bald Eagle Area suffered a grim 33-9 defeat to Central in their previous meeting back in September of 2020. Thankfully for the Eagles, Jeff Hoenstine (who threw for 208 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 41 yards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
