The Laurel Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Nandua Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Laurel comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Laurel is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell just short of Sussex Central by a score of 4-3 on Thursday.

Connor Smith was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Smith was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Koby Shockley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nandua, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lancaster on Tuesday, sneaking past 5-3.

Nandua's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Laurel, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
