Lamar Consolidated had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 6-21 to make it four. They lost 10-0 to the Victoria West Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 on Tuesday.

As for Victoria West, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6-2 record this season. Considering they have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For Victoria West's part, Aiden Deleon and Jay Guerrero were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Deleon didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Guerrero pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts Deleon has posted since back in March. At the plate, Deleon got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while Guerrero went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

In other batting news, Payton Brannan was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Evan Waters was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Lamar Consolidated does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Victoria West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Victoria East at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Titans will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
