Bedford North Lawrence is a perfect 5-0 against North Daviess since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Stars will host the Cougars at 7:15 p.m. The timing is sure in Bedford North Lawrence's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while North Daviess has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Bedford North Lawrence gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over Bloomington North. The win continues a trend for the Stars in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Cal Gates made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Tate Tanskley was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Meanwhile, North Daviess didn't have quite enough to beat North Knox on Tuesday and fell 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by just one run.

North Daviess' defeat dropped their record down to 9-7-1. As for Bedford North Lawrence, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.
