Holy Cross and Assumption are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Cougars will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Rockets at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Holy Cross took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Fairdale 15-1. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Breelyn Willett was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Willett was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
