Jonathan Barnett was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Connor Danowski, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zavier Reid, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.
Annapolis hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.
Annapolis' record is now 6-11. As for Summit Academy North, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4.
