Volleyball Recap: Nova Takes Down Taravella in a Playoff Battle

Nova had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Taravella Trojans 3-2 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Titans: when they faced off against the Trojans two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Manuel Castro was the offensive standout of the contest as he had 18 digs and three assists. That's the most digs he has posted since back in March. Demetrius Sequera also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Nova and bumps their season record up to 11-3. As for Taravella, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Nova wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Western on the 30th. Taravella does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
