Volleyball Recap: St. Albans' Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

St. Albans entered their tilt with Ritchie County on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Rebels. This was payback for the Red Dragons, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

St. Albans' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ellah Smith, who had five kills, three aces, and one block. With that strong performance, Smith is now averaging an impressive 12.1 assists per game. Another player making a difference was Natalie Harris, who had 15 digs.

They weren't the only good servers: St. Albans was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matches.

St. Albans' win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Ritchie County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
