Softball Game Preview: Brazosport Exporters vs. Sweeny Bulldogs

Brazosport is 2-8 against Sweeny since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Brazosport Exporters will look to defend their home field against the Sweeny Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Brazosport is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Columbia on Tuesday. They lost 12-2 to the Roughnecks.

Meanwhile, Sweeny was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Columbia, falling 11-1.

Brazosport now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Sweeny, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Everything went Brazosport's way against Sweeny when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Brazosport made off with an 11-3 win. Does Brazosport have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sweeny turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
