Softball Recap: Mingo Central Miners vs. Tolsia Rebels

Mingo Central had lost six straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 4-8 to make it seven. They lost 12-4 to the Tolsia Rebels. That's two games in a row now that the Miners have lost by exactly eight runs.

As for Tolsia, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-8. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by eight runs or more this season.

For Tolsia's part, Kalynn Salmons was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Salmons has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with six stolen bases and three runs.
