Baseball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Union on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Union Cougars. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly four runs.

Skyline saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Billick, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. What's more, Billick posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Bensen Johnson was another, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-5.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Union, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyline will take on Granger at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyline is facing Granger at the right time seeing as Granger is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Union, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Springville at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
