Volleyball Recap: North Putnam Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when North Putnam challenged Riverton Parke on Monday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Panthers. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-13, 25-15.

Melanie Davies paced North Putnam's offense, picking up eight kills. Davies got some help from Hailee Daigle and her ten assists. Jolie Rust controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Leading Riverton Parke to victory were Milynn Organn and Jaylynn Nelson. Organn had five digs and five aces, while Nelson had five digs and one assist.

North Putnam's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

North Putnam didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Western Boone on the 21st. As for Riverton Parke, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against North Central on the 19th.
