The Crossroad Academy Scorpions will take on the Blountstown Tigers at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Blountstown took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on Crossroad Academy, who comes in off a win.
Crossroad Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Friday. They walked away with  a   68-56  victory over Port St. Joe. The Scorpions haven't had any issues with the Tiger Sharks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  win against them.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crossroad Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Tyrek Jessie, who  went 7 of 8  en route to 16 points and five  assists. That's the most  assists  Jessie has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Forrest Dudley, who  went 6 for 9  on his way to 17  points.
Meanwhile, Blountstown suffered their closest  defeat since December 20, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Munroe by a score of  46-44.
 Crossroad Academy will need to focus on slowing down  Braxton Sercye, one of several Blountstown players who made an impact when they last played. He  almost  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and nine  rebounds.  Cyion Smith was another key player,  going 6 of 12  to rack up 13  points along with eight  boards and three  steals.
 Blountstown's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Crossroad Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest:  Crossroad Academy has been crashing the boards this season,  having  averaged 24.7  rebounds per game. However, it's not like Blountstown struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 29.6  boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
 Everything went Crossroad Academy's way against Blountstown when the teams last played  back in January of 2020, as Crossroad Academy made off with  a  74-49 win. In that  contest, Crossroad Academy amassed a halftime lead of  42-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat  on Wednesday.
