Volleyball Recap: Bob Jones Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bob Jones can now relate to. They came up short against the Thompson Warriors on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Mya Lacey paced Bob Jones' offense, picking up six kills. Lacey also shared the team's lead in assists with Zoe Robinson: they picked up seven each. Brooklynn Morgan and Sophia Miller kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Bob Jones has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 39-17 record this season. As for Thompson, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Bob Jones nor Thompson have any future games scheduled.
