Soccer Recap: High Point Comes Up Short

High Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Vernon Vikings. High Point were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Vernon apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

High Point's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Vernon, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

High Point didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Belvidere on the 4th. As for Vernon, they will head out to challenge Sparta at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
