Softball Recap: Madison County Mountaineers vs. Western Albemarle Warriors        
        
		
            
 Madison County was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. Their  rough  19-5 defeat to the Western Albemarle Warriors  might stick with them for a while.
 For Western Albemarle's part,  Lillie Boyle was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits. Boyle was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-1.
 In other batting news, Western Albemarle let  Jillie Clark and  Addy Hux loose on the outfield. Clark  fired off two  home runs and three  RBI while going 3-for-3, while  Hux  went 3-for-3 with a  home run, two  runs,  and a  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mary Kumer, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Madison County's loss dropped their record down to 2-7-2. As for Western Albemarle, their victory  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 2-5-1.
 Madison County will look to defend their home field  on Monday against East Rockingham at 6:30  p.m. Madison County is facing East Rockingham at the right time seeing as East Rockingham is stuck on  a  five-game losing streak. As for Western Albemarle, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Albemarle at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
